The location of the cottage was excellent, right in the heart of the village with all amenities within walking distance. It was also a great base for exploring the surrounding areas of the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District. the cottage itself was beautifully renovated with brand new fittings and a lovely decor.
One small issue was that the master bedroom could benefit from having heavier curtains to keep out the morning light. parking could be a challenge, but we managed to find a spot.

The decor and furniture were beautifully done, with an elegant touch in every room. The attention to detail was superb, as the owners had provided everything I could possibly need during my stay. From bread and milk to toiletries, they had thought of it all. The attic bedroom was a hit with my children, who disappeared upstairs with a book and didn't want to leave. We had an amazing romantic escape in the cozy cottage! The log burner was a highlight, creating a warm and cozy atmosphere in the evenings. The comfortable beds ensured a good night's sleep, and the fresh decor added to the charm of the place. The central location was perfect, allowing us to easily explore the beautiful village and its attractions.
The only drawback was the lack of guaranteed parking nearby, which could be a bit inconvenient for some guests. However, everything else about our stay was absolutely fantastic!

We had an amazing stay at No 2 Villa. The location was perfect, right in the heart of the village with everything we needed within walking distance. The cottage itself was beautifully renovated with brand new fittings and a lovely decor. We were particularly impressed with the attention to detail and personal touches throughout the cottage. The host, Sue, was incredibly helpful and made us feel truly welcome. One highlight of our stay was the cozy attic room, which our guests loved. The cottage was also well stocked with kitchen equipment and bathroom essentials, making our stay even more comfortable. Although the master bedroom could use heavier curtains to block out the morning light, it didn't detract from the overall great experience. We didn't encounter any issues with parking, but it's worth noting that it could be a bit challenging if you have mobility issues. we highly recommend No 2 Villa for a wonderful and memorable stay in the area. We can't wait to come back!
