The location of the cottage was excellent, right in the heart of the village with all amenities within walking distance. It was also a great base for exploring the surrounding areas of the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District. the cottage itself was beautifully renovated with brand new fittings and a lovely decor.

One small issue was that the master bedroom could benefit from having heavier curtains to keep out the morning light. parking could be a challenge, but we managed to find a spot.

My wife and I stayed at No 2 for a short break to celebrate our Ruby Wedding. The tiny yet gorgeous cottage far exceeded our expectations. It has been beautifully redecorated and furnished in a relaxing style. The attention to detail, such as groceries on arrival, toiletries, and towels, was impressive. The location is perfect, and the double glazing ensures a peaceful stay. The cottage is snug and warm, making it a true Autumn treat!

    Recommend this hotel.

The cottage at No 2 in Kirkby Lonsdale was absolutely charming. It had a lovely, cozy atmosphere that made me feel right at home. The decor and furniture were beautifully done, with an elegant touch in every room. The attention to detail was superb, as the owners had provided everything I could possibly need during my stay. From bread and milk to toiletries, they had thought of it all. The attic bedroom was a hit with my children, who disappeared upstairs with a book and didn't want to leave. The location couldn't have been better, just a short walk away from the town center and its restaurants and shops. Throughout my stay, Mandy, the host, was extremely attentive and friendly, ensuring that everything was okay for us. I had a wonderful and relaxing time at No 2 Villa and would highly recommend it to others.

I had the most relaxing break in a charming cottage. The cozy decor and luxurious furnishings created a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The little courtyard garden was perfect for enjoying a cup of coffee in the sunshine. The location was ideal, just a stone's throw away from the shops and center of the village. The thoughtful welcome pack with a bottle of Prosecco was a lovely gesture. Mandy, the owner, went above and beyond to ensure I had a perfect stay. I will definitely be back. I highly recommend this place.

We got great value for our money at No 2 Villa. The room was perfect, with modern facilities and a beautiful period style. The location was ideal, just a short walk to the main street and close to restaurants and shops. The staff, especially Mandy the owner, were attentive and helpful, providing us with all the essential information and even leaving us some goodies upon arrival.

Breakfast delights, we wish there were more options for breakfast.

We had an amazing romantic escape in the cozy cottage! The log burner was a highlight, creating a warm and cozy atmosphere in the evenings. The comfortable beds ensured a good night's sleep, and the fresh decor added to the charm of the place. The central location was perfect, allowing us to easily explore the beautiful village and its attractions.

The only drawback was the lack of guaranteed parking nearby, which could be a bit inconvenient for some guests. However, everything else about our stay was absolutely fantastic!

I recently stayed at a cottage in Kirkby Lonsdale and it was absolutely idyllic. The decor and furnishings created a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and the facilities were excellent. I especially loved the lovely little courtyard/garden area with tables and chairs. The owner was very thoughtful and communicated well, even leaving us milk, bread, and prosecco as a welcome gift. The beautiful walks and views right outside the cottage were a bonus. I can't wait to stay there again. 10/10.

Nothing to complain about at all. 😊

We had an amazing stay at No 2 Villa. The location was perfect, right in the heart of the village with everything we needed within walking distance. The cottage itself was beautifully renovated with brand new fittings and a lovely decor. We were particularly impressed with the attention to detail and personal touches throughout the cottage. The host, Sue, was incredibly helpful and made us feel truly welcome. One highlight of our stay was the cozy attic room, which our guests loved. The cottage was also well stocked with kitchen equipment and bathroom essentials, making our stay even more comfortable. Although the master bedroom could use heavier curtains to block out the morning light, it didn't detract from the overall great experience. We didn't encounter any issues with parking, but it's worth noting that it could be a bit challenging if you have mobility issues. we highly recommend No 2 Villa for a wonderful and memorable stay in the area. We can't wait to come back!
